Library Documentary Night: The King of Kong (A Fistful of Quarters)

  • Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County 201 North Mulberry Street Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050 United States (map)

Documentaries about video games may not be for everyone, but this might be an exception. The King of Kong tells the true story of a down-on-his-luck schoolteacher who inadvertently finds himself at the center of a morality play--a struggle between good and evil--that also happens to be pretty funny. This film offers a compelling glance into the nature of competitiveness and the corrupting influence of fame. Come watch it with us. No quarters are necessary to participate.
